Calgary Speed Dating is Under Going a Facelift

Within the week Calgary Speed Dating will update and improve its
on-line look,
information and dating tips.

What Is Calgary Speed Dating?

At Calgary Speed Dating, we arrange an evening where you meet an average of 12 singles of the opposite gender, within your age range for fun 7 minute dates! After chatting with each person for seven minutes, you will secretly mark on a card if you are interested in seeing that person again. If you both mark "yes", a match is made and you will be notified. The rest is up to you!

Calgary Speed Dating was the first speed dating company in Calgary. In January 2008, we proudly celebrated six successful years of introducing quality Calgary singles to each other. I believe our success can be attributed to our personalized, friendly service and our commitment to deliver what we promise.

We hold our events at the Ruberto Ostberg Gallery, 2108 18th Street N.W. This funky little art gallery is the perfect location. It is private and more confidential than a pub or restaurant. No public are allowed in the gallery during our events. We will never ask the men to sit in any particular place while the ladies huddle together uncomfortably on the side. The art work in the gallery offers everyone the option of something to do, to occupy the short time while check-in is taking place.

Snacks and beverages at the events are complementary. The gallery will be closed to the public and is a non-smoking building.

We get together at 7:15 p.m. and you should plan to be there until 9:45ish.

General registration is free. When you choose an event date, you will be asked to pay $50 Cdn (plus GST). Everyone is required to pay for their event ahead of time, otherwise there is no real commitment to attend. Also, to protect the integrity of the events, participants are required to bring a driver's license or other form of picture id to the events. (Please see our privacy policy.)

Before you try any speed dating company, it's important to ask some questions: Is the company locally owned and operated or does the company hire people to run its events here with most of the money going to Toronto? Does the company keep track of who you have met, so that, if you return you won't meet the same people again? (If they offer you a free round for not matching, do they guarantee that you will meet all new people?) Can you reach someone at the company on the phone? Do they take id at the events or is the company trusting everyone to be honest about their age?
