After each round secretly mark on your event card if you would like to see that person again. If you both marked "YES" then there's a match!

Just as in business, follow up is important in new romance. Weather after speed dating or that first initial contact of exchanged phone numbers (emails, texts, social media accounts, etc., ) it is important to follow up without allowing too much time to pass, but also not come off over eager.

Let's review the basics. If you meet someone …
…on the weekend, contact must be made by early Thursday evening for a date the next weekend.
…on a weekday, allow 2-4 days before making contact again.
…on a Thursday, all rules get thrown out the window to plans for the weekend.

While the younger dating generation need not follow the old rules, men are still generally expected to make the initial contact. That includes the follow-up after the date.

If the date was enjoyed and a second date is imminent then and say so, following the same rules above. Next day contact (over eager) is still not recommended.
